Jeito Capital strengthens its investment leadership and UK presence with the appointment of Magdalena Jonikas, PhD as Partner, and Anastasiya Sybirna, PhD as Principal

  • Magdalena Jonikas brings 15 years of international biopharma experience across strategy, investing and operating. Her commercially driven, scientifically grounded approach, together with her track record in company creation, and board and portfolio company leadership, will further strengthen Jeito’s investment strategy and ability to support portfolio companies through critical stages of growth and value creation. Magdalena joins Jeito from Syncona Ltd., where she was Partner. She will be based in London (UK).

  • Anastasiya Sybirna brings 7 years of experience across Biopharma investing and strategy consulting. She will contribute to deal sourcing, due diligence, investment execution and portfolio company engagement. Anastasiya joins Jeito from F-Prime Capital, where she was a Senior Associate. She will also be based in London.

  • Through these appointments, Jeito further strengthens the firm’s position in the UK, a major global ecosystem for biopharma innovation financing and investment.

Paris, July 8th, 2026 – Jeito Capital (“Jeito”), a leading global independent private equity firm dedicated to Biopharma, today announces the appointment of a new Partner, Magdalena Jonikas, PhD, and a Principal, Anastasiya Sybirna, PhD, to its investment team, both based in London.

These appointments reflect Jeito’s commitment to strengthening its expertise and supporting the execution of its differentiated and proven investment strategy, with internationally recognized professionals from leading pharma and investment institutions. With a strengthened presence in a major global ecosystem for biopharma innovation financing and investment, the firm is well positioned to further accelerate its development and that of its portfolio companies.

Magdalena Jonikas, PhD, Partner

With 15 years of international biopharma experience spanning strategy, investing and operational leadership, Magdalena will contribute to Jeito’s differentiated investment strategy, support its portfolio companies through critical stages of growth and value creation, and help strengthen the firm’s presence in the UK as part of its European investment platform with global reach.
Prior to Jeito, Magdalena was a Partner at Syncona Ltd., where she led the creation, financing, and strategic development of therapeutics companies including OMass Therapeutics, Kesmalea Therapeutics and Mosaic Therapeutics. She served as an investor director on portfolio company boards, and took on operating leadership responsibilities, including as interim CEO of Mosaic Therapeutics.

Before that, Magdalena was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company in Palo Alto (USA) and London (UK), where she advised global pharmaceutical and healthcare clients on strategy across the value chain, and led commercial due diligence across therapeutics, medtech, and services.

Magdalena completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital (USA) after earning a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Bioengineering from Stanford University (USA), and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania (USA).

Anastasiya Sybirna, PhD, Principal

Anastasiya Sybirna, PhD, joins Jeito as a Principal, bringing strong biopharma experience across Biopharma investing and strategy consulting. She will contribute to deal sourcing, due diligence, investment execution and portfolio company engagement.

Before joining Jeito, Anastasiya was a Senior Associate at Fidelity-backed F-Prime Capital, where she focused on healthcare investments and served as an investment lead. Prior to F-Prime, Anastasiya was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, specializing in Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products, and previously worked as a Strategy Consultant at Advancy. Anastasiya holds a PhD in Stem Cell Biology and Medicine from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Molecular and Cell Biology from École normale supérieure in Paris, and a BSc in Biology from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in Ukraine.
